We believe the mission of the church was given by Christ in Matthew 28:19-20

We endeavor, through God's guidance, to be a dynamic, spiritual church empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible in our Church, community and throughout the world; to be a worshiping fellowship experiencing an awareness of God, and recognizing His person and responding in obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit; to experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers; to help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man; to be a Church that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and the world in Jesus' name; to be a Church whose purpose is to be Christlike in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality and possessions to the Lordship of Christ.
Providence Baptist Church is located at what was known originally as Newman's Stand, Estill County, Kentucky. Providence was established in 1856 and is the third oldest church in Estill County.
Providence Baptist Church has a rich history and has been blessed by God in great abundance. The church has had pastors and leaders during its 150+ years that have been some of the most capable servants of God to pass through Estill County, Kentucky.
Providence is a mission-minded church dedicated to the Glory of God through our love, dedication and outreach.
