- Works with a lot of homeless people in Estill & Powell counties.
- The group that she works with can provide the following so long as supplies last:
- Tent
- Sleeping bags
- Hygiene Items
New Vista
(24x7 Hotline - 1-800-928-8000)
- They have offices in multiple counties throughout central Ky.
- They will help by assigning them a Case Manager
- They can help with services such as:
- Getting an ID (An absolutely needed first step to gain any assistance)
- Photo ID’s are:
- Obtained in Regional Offices
- Cost $12
- Are not handed out at the Regional office but rather mailed.
- If they do not have a residence, homeless shelters can be a mailing address, if they are able and committed to staying in one place for about 2 weeks (The time that it takes to get an ID).
- Apply for a Social Security card
- Apply for a Birth Certificate
- ...etc
